1. What is FILOTRON?
FILOTRON is an app for managing and moving your files directly between your own devices — phone, tablet, laptop and desktop — without uploading anything to a cloud service.
Browse, organise and transfer your files the same way on every platform. When you want to reach a file that lives on another one of your devices, FILOTRON connects the two devices directly and moves the data over an encrypted, device-to-device link. Nothing is parked on someone else’s server along the way.
2. How it works
- Direct device-to-device. Files travel straight from one of your devices to another, peer-to-peer — not through any cloud storage.
- End-to-end encrypted. Every connection between your devices is mutually authenticated and encrypted, so the data in transit is for your devices only.
- Across networks. Your devices can find and reach each other whether they’re on the same Wi-Fi or in different places entirely.
- Truly cross-platform. One consistent experience on iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux and Android.
- Your fleet, your control. Add the devices you own to your personal fleet, and remove them whenever you like.
3. Private by design
FILOTRON is built so that your day-to-day use is anonymous. You sign in once — with Apple, Google, Microsoft or email — only to purchase a subscription and to set up a security certificate on each device. That is the only time your account is involved.
After a device is set up, your account identity is not kept on it. When your devices talk to each other, no account information travels between them — so all peer-to-peer activity is 100% anonymous. We never see your files, and we cannot observe your transfers.
